What is now known as “The Village Magazine”, started life as St Andrew’s Church Magazine, then expanded to a Parish publication, later covering the whole of the Backwell Benefice in the Diocese of Bath and Wells.

In 2015 it renamed itself as “The Village Magazine” in order to become more inclusive. Its focus is very local, aiming to incorporate secular activities as well as the work of all the churches. The ethos of the magazine is reflected in this Wordle-

The content of the monthly magazine comes from submissions by local people. Some groups have a regular monthly item, some are irregular and there are occasional stand-alone articles. There is editorial input, but it aims to have a light touch. Priority is given to groups in the local area, but news from further afield is included if there is room and it is considered appropriate.
